 DON’T HESITATE IF IT HELP

That day I practiced for the practical exam at my friend's house, Neyla.  We practiced dancing for the practical exams at school later.  Suddenly the sound of the asr call to prayer reverberated, we immediately finished the exercise.  It didn't feel like time went so fast, me, Sheela, and Sri immediately rushed home right then and there.

The sound of the street is getting busier because it’s time for people to go home from school or work.  In the middle of our walk, we met a fork, at that time we were confused to choose the right or left direction.  For a few moments we also chose the direction of the road to the left.  Actually it is farther from the road to the right, but for some reason we chose that road.

Yes, we walked along the sidewalk on the side of the road, until we finally entered Jln.Permata .  This is where it all started, as we know, Jln.  Permata is a street that is quite busy with motorists and several street vendors there.  Lots of people passing by.

While walking, we suddenly saw a woman with a disability who was using a wheelchair going to cross the road.  At first we were hesitant to help because I thought that on that road there were many people passing by who might help the woman.  We passed it just like that, when we looked back, apparently no one was there to help.

It is difficult for women with disabilities to operate their wheelchairs, causing traffic jams.  It’s sad, no one helps.  Sheela and I immediately ran back to the woman and helped her cross. When we reached the end of the street, I thought the woman would say “thank you” but she didn’t.  I didn’t expect that the woman immediately bought fried chicken in front of us.  Then we returned to cross the road to return to the way home.

I don’t mind the word “thank you”, because my mother once said “if you help someone you have to be sincere, don’t expect anything”. What I’m thinking is why are there people who need help especially those with disabilities who are not helped immediately?  Even though there were lots of people passing by and at that time the road was very busy.

If anyone needs help, hurry up please.  Because if we are in that position and no one helps how?  Don’t think only about yourself, we are human, social creatures.  Who can’t live alone.  So, don’t hesitate to help others.
