She is a Bright Light
DIAN MARDIANA,S.Pd
Thirty-eight years ago a daughter was born on September 30 1985 at
00.25. The tiny little baby was named Dian, which means lamp with the hope that
it can be a bright light for everyone in darkness. A name that is very unique
and has a meaning that is full of meaning, I hope it will be a prayer and a
light for the family, especially it can be a light of happiness for my parents.
Since then I was born and became part of the happiness of my parents who really
hoped for the presence of new family members who would decorate the house with
joy.
Mother is a very tough and great person, thanks to her struggles she
started still in the womb until I was born and finally grew to be what she is
today. Grateful to have a mother who is very strong and fought for me to be
born and takes care of me until now. Mama is a very smart, sociable, firm and
caring person. Since childhood, I have always been taught good values and
introduced new things that I did not understand. The experiences and stories
shared often add new knowledge to me. Whenever I have a problem, mom is always
there to be a good listener, and often provides solutions to solve the problems
I'm facing. With great patience, mom always gives advice, teaches good values,
always reminds me to pray 5 times and always gives motivation when I'm having
difficulties.
I grew up to be a patient, and diligent child, maybe that's a trait
inherited from a patient, loving and wise father. From childhood until I grew
up, my father was always patient in dealing with various problems and never got
angry when I made a mistake. Wisely papa gave rebuke and advice. When I had
difficulties and needed help with schoolwork, Papa always had ideas to solve
them. His diligent and creative nature can always help me to complete craft
assignments at school. There's no word you can't, daddy always can and tries to
help me complete my schoolwork. Great family protector, until I grew up Papa
was always there when I needed help. Papa always took the time to drop me off
and pick me up when I went to school or attended various events. Even when I
was growing up, papa was always worried and still wanted to take me where I was
going.
Day after day I grow with the love they pour into growing up. Since
childhood, I have always been given attention from them. Mama never forgets
every birthday and is always the first person to wish her a happy birthday.
Since I was in elementary school, I was used to being taught independence,
because of the condition that both my parents were working. So that every time
I come home from school I'm used to being at home alone and helping to clean
the house while waiting for their arrival. I'm grateful for this condition
because it can teach me to be more independent, and learn to be responsible.
Very lucky to have parents who really love me and give love with all their
heart. I hope that someday I can repay all the love that has been given, and
always shine brightly to give them happiness.
